Levine Museum of the New South

Housing the nation’s most comprehensive interpretation of post-Civil War Southern history, Levine Museum of the New South is a Charlotte must-see. The New York Times writes, “There is an appealing integrity in the way the museum takes on its subjects.” All ages will enjoy the award-winning and recently expanded centerpiece exhibit Cotton Fields to Skyscrapers, which features interactive environments and more than 1200 artifacts, images, video, music, oral histories and more. Changing exhibits, programs and tours further illuminate Southern history and culture from 1865 to today.
